Our chapter holds quarterly meetings and organized and impromptu field trips. Meetings are often held in the SF East Bay cities of Livermore & Dublin, and on Zoom when necessary. While typical business is conducted, the real fun starts when catching up with fellow members, learning from demonstrations by skilled and talented artists or reps from product companies, and seeing what everyone has been up to during the show-and-tell portion of the meeting. We welcome visitors and invite you to come and learn a bit more about colored pencil and make some new friends.

A goal of CPSA is to bring awareness to the beauty and richness of colored pencil as a medium for creating fine art. To help achieve this goal, we sponsor a number of events to provide opportunities for our members to display their artwork to the public, such as judged shows, exhibitions, and participation in a regional art festival. We sponsor workshops conducted by well-known artists working in colored pencil. Workshops are open to the public and attract attendees from across the country.
