Bio - DOREEN COHEN
In 2016 I had the opportunity to revive my enjoyment of drawing with colored pencils that I had enjoyed growing up. I reconnected with an old friend from college who had spent his life as an artist using both colored pencils and oil paints. He coached me long distance via email. Soon after, I joined CPSA and encountered kindred spirits. In addition, I joined the Los Altos Art Club and the ArtVentures Studio Class, where I continued to learn about drawing with colored pencils.
I find inspiration in my garden, my family, the familiar things around me. My hope is to capture and share the beauty that I see.
A resident of Los Altos, California, 1971-2020, I recently moved to Cupertino.
